These sashiko needles are made in Japan and come in two different lengths.
Sashiko "little stabs" is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching from Japan used for beauty and function. The running stitch technique was originated by peasant woman to repair and reinforce clothing. Traditionally, blue cloth and white thread were used. The art of Sashiko is used today to embellish fabrics using a variety of coloured threads.
